Frozen Shoulder Treatment Singapore
Frozen shoulder — or adhesive capsulitis — is one of
the most debilitating shoulder conditions we see at
Re:Chiropractic Lavender. If you've been told to "wait it out" for 1-2 years, there is a better way.
At Re:Chiropractic Lavender, Dr Jeff and Dr Jenny
treat frozen shoulder differently. Instead of one
tool, we combine four proven modalities in every
session — targeting all layers of the problem at once:
✅ Chiropractic adjustment — restore joint mobility
✅ Dry needling — release trigger points, reduce pain
✅ Muscle release + Graston technique — break down
adhesions conventional physio can't reach
✅ Cupping therapy — promote blood circulation and improve recovery
This combined approach gets patients sleeping through
the night within a few visits — and back to full range
of motion in months, not years.
What Is Frozen Shoulder?
Frozen shoulder — medically known as adhesive
capsulitis — is a condition where the capsule
surrounding the shoulder joint becomes inflamed,
then progressively scarred and shrunken.
Most people pass through 3 stages:
🔴 Freezing Stage (6 weeks – 9 months)
Pain dominates, especially at night. Range of
motion still relatively preserved.
🟡 Frozen Stage (4–12 months)
Pain eases but shoulder is genuinely stuck.
Can't reach behind back or overhead.
🟢 Thawing Stage (6 months – 2 years)
Movement gradually returns — often incomplete
without active treatment.
Untreated, the whole cycle can take 18 months
to 3 years. With our 4-modality protocol, that
timeline compresses dramatically.
Our Unique 4-Modality Approach
Most clinics in Singapore give you one tool. We use
four — in the same session — because frozen shoulder
is never just one problem.
🔵 Chiropractic Adjustment
Dr Jeff specialises in the Gonstead technique — restoring thoracic spine and shoulder blade mechanics so the shoulder is allowed to move again. In the
freezing stage we work surrounding structures first, not the inflamed shoulder itself.
🔵 Dry Needling
Releases the trigger points in supraspinatus, nfraspinatus, upper trapezius and subscapularis
that keep your brain in protective mode. Most patients notice less night pain within 2-3 visits.
🔵 Muscle Release + Graston Technique argets pec minor and subscapularis — two muscles
conventional physio rarely reaches. The Graston technique uses stainless steel tools to break down
fascial restrictions and scar tissue deep in the
shoulder.
🔵 Cupping Therapy
Creates negative pressure on the joint capsule — improve blood flow. Used both static and sliding over the scapula.
